First and foremost, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with their families and took some time to decompress. Although this year has not been without its struggles, I wake up every morning knowing my cup runneth over in myriad respects. Evidently, my husband is extremely grateful for the important things like the new Star Wars movie, Rogue One. Ahhh, it’s the small things like his affinity for the dysfunctional Skywalker family, all things most people undoubtedly can relate to (wink). I’m having a difficult time wrapping my head around the fact we are rapidly approaching the latter part of the holiday season while careening toward the new year. Wow!
Arizona’s fall season is finally upon us (took long enough!) and subsequently, I had the chance to dust off my fall/winter attire. I am a huge fan of jackets, blazers, and anything I can layer, which is why I’ve been dying to put this Burberry trench into rotation. The brand is simply iconic and is one of my absolute favorites! My first Burberry trench coat was purchased in my twenties and I continue to wear it to this day. I am dating myself here, but that’s over 20 years ago! I continue to maintain my stance on investing in quality pieces that will stand the test of time.
Burberry’s outerwear is as functional as it is stylish. Wearing anything from this iconic brand instantly elevates your look and gives it refinement. I love this short belted Burberry trench for its big, bold golden hardware and the option to wear it open or cinched at the waist. The fabulous thing about the color navy lies in its versatility. You can wear it with either black or brown and that’s a fashion win in my book.
I have been on a black and gray denim buying frenzy lately. When I laid eyes on these distressed steel grays from Blank Denim, I bought them without hesitation….and the kicker is they are less than $100. Score! The blouse is from L’Academie. This is a great layering piece because it doesn’t add bulk to your ensemble. As previously mentioned, the cropped navy trench is Burberry. The finishing touch was a pair of over the knee boots from Schutz and box clutch from Edie Parker. Schutz doesn’t have a pointy toe stiletto on rotation this season as the block heel is having “it’s moment.” I’ve linked similar options below.
