Everyone looks cool in black and in Vegas, we wear black. It’s slimming, sophisticated and makes you feel you are fashion. My Vegas getaway was a two punch knock out. Not only did I enjoy a quick mini-vacation to this kick-ass city, I scored a gorgeous, swoon-worthy, limited edition Louis Vuitton handbag as a belated birthday present from my husband. (Oh My Gaaaaaad!!!)
If you’re like me and want something to show for an empty pocket book, the one of a kind shopping scene in Vegas always leaves me breathless. There is something about Vegas that inspires me to walk out the door well turned out and ready to turn heads. This city oozes high octane energy that can galvanize even the most timid and unassuming visitor. (I’m picturing guys who wear socks with sandals)
To amp up the cool-girl factor, I hit The Strip rocking a black off-the shoulder top from Project Social T, high waisted black denim Aline jean by Factory, and my new Louis Vuitton handbag. I felt like I was channeling Grease’s “Sandy” (ahhh….those summer nights) with my ensemble. I guess lightening can strike twice. I gave my outfit an added boost with a leopard-esque scarf from Alexander McQueen and leopard print pumps from ViceDomini. I am a devoted leopard print enthusiast and can confidently state those small spots will never lose their luster from my fashion wardrobe. Meow.
Now for the pièce de résistance…..the limited edition Louis Vuitton Twist Monogram Canvas. I wasn’t looking to purchase a Vuitton, however, I saw this particular handbag on display front and center of the store entrance and it literally stopped me in my tracks. I am personally commending the store for its strategic merchandising upon this unsuspecting Korean/Finnish girl. Well played Louis Vuitton, well played. I love anything that speaks to me and this bag spoke volumes. It’s refined, yet edgy. It’s an absolute fashion feast for my eyes. Louis Vuitton dares to walk a delicate line between being too bold and modern with its exceptional avant garde design; yet, one glimpse of the classic LV logo evokes a familiar sense of nostalgia. It’s the perfect combination of the masculine meeting its feminine counterpart; and for myself, that is the allure and appeal of this marvelous bag. The artfully crafted handbags from this collection are quite special and I am grateful and blessed to be one of the women who owns one. (Thank you, Grant!)
