Bohemian-Chic has been mainstream for the last few years, and although I don’t consider my style to be free-spirited and romantic, I fully embrace the messy, slightly undone bed head look that is bohemian. Perhaps in an alternate universe, Kate Hudson in “Almost Famous” could possibly be my spirit animal. She made me fall in love with the notion of being a hippie chic, without actually transforming myself into a hippie chic.
The great thing about this particular style is adding in different articles of clothing to create a visually arresting outfit. This green dress is very form fitting and exudes a completely different vibe when worn on its own with a sexy pair of heels. However, adding a pair of booties, a skinny scarf, and a duster transforms this dress into a completely different ensemble. And here’s the kicker….you don’t have to spend a fortune to look stylish and well turned out!!
In keeping with saving the best for last, my entire outfit literally cost under $150! Here’s to slaying fashion without draining your bank book. The duster was only $20 and I bought it in both camel and black from a website called Boohoo. I literally tell my husband…”Look at what I bought with all the money I saved you!!” The challenge (but also great fun) is finding specific elements to take an outfit in an entirely new and unexpected direction. Take chances and you might find yourself being a little unruly! Thanks for reading…..Dayna, xoxo
