My love affair with the one piece bathing suit

Swimsuit season is rapidly approaching and I can already hear the collective sobs of all the women who dread the thought of wearing a bikini or a bathing suit. I simply love the one-piece bathing suit. Whether poolside or on the beach, the one piece has re-emerged as the ultimate fashion statement. My love affair with the one piece bathing suit has been going strong for the last few years, and I find myself reaching for this singular piece over it’s two piece counterpart. Therefore, I’m temporarily saying bye-bye and sayonara to my little bikini friend for the following reasons…

A fashionista’s holiday south of the border

My husband pointed to a white Volkswagon Jetta and stated matter of factly it was our rental car. Gasp!! Parked in front of me was a hubcap-less jalopy, bucket of bolts. In addition to a hubcap-less car, the seats were stuck doing their best impersonation of the letter “L.” Upright driving and sitting is not something I will ever get used to! Can you imagine not being able to recline your seat??!! Neither had I until we drove off in our rented white Jetta.

Brisk mornings are a joy to dress for, but as the temperatures climb, one might regret wearing that heavier layer. Arizona has gone from the cool 60’s to the high 80’s within a week’s time frame. To prevent any awkward dressing dilemmas, here are a few of my tips for transitioning into spring.

Horse and Heart….Life Lessons from Lechoso

I love fashion and all things related to fashion. However, as much as fashion satisfies and inspires my creative self, it cannot compare to the fulfillment and soul connection I have with my horse. I am beyond blessed to own and ride this gentle sentient being. I never knew nor imagined I could feel so connected to such a magnificent animal. Lechoso feeds my soul on a spiritual level and has taught me some very valuable life lessons.

Leather and Lace…

When I’m not obsessing over clothing, shoes or my horse, I love traveling and being the intrepid explorer with my husband. San Diego is typically our getaway destination because we love to surf. Ahh, yes….the many faces of Dayna. Equestrian, surfer, skater, dental hygienist, fashionista, shoe addict, step-mom, wife, home-maker, and blogger oh my!
