I love wearing high heels. I also love the way a stellar stiletto makes me sashay and….STRUT. That is, until I feel like I’m going to die from the excruciating, mind-numbing pain of wearing a pair of heels for several hours. As much as I love heels, I also have a deep, primal love for all shoes. Regardless of age or personal style, shoes are a necessary accoutrement for all women. However, I’m attesting to the fact we can still be stylish and wickedly foxy in comfortable footwear. This is where Zappos and Söfft come together to offer a wonderful solution for the woman who doesn’t want to sacrifice style for comfort. Read on for my review of Söfft: smart and stylish shoes.
In the past, I would’ve described myself as being a punctual person. However, in all honesty…I have never been on time. In Dayna’s world, this notion of promptness and being on schedule is a complete fallacy. Just ask blogger’s husband….he has probably logged at least 100 hours of waiting time. Habitual tardiness has turned into a perfunctory task and I find myself saying, “Sorry I’m late” on a consistent basis. I recently read an interesting article on individuals who are chronically tardy. This made me think about my own rational decision making process and time management skills; or lack thereof. With that being said, these are the real reasons why I am habitually late.
Does it feel as though we have officially bypassed Spring and made a beeline to Summer? I have a confession to make….I have taken so many blog photos of myself dressed in fall clothes, I have major anxiety knowing I could be showcasing fall outfits into mid-summer! Noooo! (picture me sprawled out on the floor, tantruming with feet and arms flailing) How can I inspire you to wear a sweater in temperatures that will melt eyeliner halfway down your face? However, in all fairness, it cannot be that hot yet because my Korean mother is still ordering hot tea when we go out to eat.
When traveling, I always check the weather in an effort to pack sensibly and accordingly. Although we are quickly approaching spring, the cold temperatures haven’t completely left us, as you never know what mother nature has up her sleeve. Consequently, here are my tips for fashionable winter dressing when traveling to a cold weather destination.
We’ve all been there. How many times have you looked at your closet and lamented about having nothing to wear, or being completely underwhelmed by your existing wardrobe? Well, I’m here to tell you there are a few things you can do to infuse new life into your attire and refresh your look. I was recently trying on a skirt I had tailored and suddenly remembered a duster I purchased when I was in my twenties. The fun started as I began experimenting and incorporating various accessories into my outfit. Great style is often punctuated with well placed accessories…they can be everything! With that being said, here are 5 inexpensive ways to refresh your wardrobe.
A woman’s closet would not be complete without a few cozy and chunky knit sweaters. Long gone are the days of ugly, itchy, scratchy sweaters that only served a utilitarian purpose. I tend to think sweaters are the unsung heros of fashion. Considered banal by some, they are often overlooked in favor of more fashionable pieces. However, modern day sweaters are now chic, feminine, and stylish. That being said, doesn’t it feel wonderful to bundle up in a soft, slouchy, oversized sweater or cardigan? I have a thing for sweaters and I love a cozy cardigan!
