I am completely guilty of jumping on the massive, world-wide off-the-shoulder trend bandwagon. The first step in admitting a problem is acknowledging it and saying it aloud, right? I happen to LOVE this trend as much as I love pink, puppies and ponies. (That’s huge people!) AND…it doesn’t seem to be losing momentum in the fashion world. This fall, to keep things on the cusp of being too passé, we will be seeing a few more variations of the bare shoulder trend such as the one shoulder or cold shoulder tops. I almost forgot to mention the one shoulder silhouette is one of my absolute favorite styles to rock!!
I also happen to love the tie cuffs on the sleeves of this Walter Baker top because it adds a bit of flare. The shirt-tail hem also gives you the option of wearing it long or partially tucked. Admittedly, I wasn’t a big fan of how tight the elastic was on this shirt because it caused the skin on the back of my arms to bulge out like an over-stuffed sausage coming out of its casing. However, after a few wears, the elastic became less binding and said sausage crisis was averted.
I completed my outfit with a lighter washed ripped denim, metallic sandals, and crossbody bag for an easy on the go look. Although some might frown on pairing a white handbag against a white shirt, it’s almost as unexpected as a pop of color. If there’s one thing I’m consistent about, it’s doing something unexpected when it comes to curating an outfit and wearing what makes you feel good while still stepping outside the proverbial fashion box.
Define yourself by being yourself…Thanks for reading. Dayna~xoxo
